Birds of the Colne Cruise
Explore the River Colne, past Fingringhoe Wick bird reserve, with experts from Swallow Birding helping you spot and identify waders, divers and raptors. Includes light lunch of Homemade Soup with Bread, Chocolate Brownie with Fruits and Cream.

During the winter months, the saltmarshes and mud flats of the colne host huge flocks of wading birds and wild fowl including Godwits, Avocets, Dunlin & Oyster Catchers; Brent Geese, Widgeon, Shell Duck, Teal and many less common species as well as a chance of Raptors.
Join the barge at Brightlingsea Town Jetty and head up the River Colne, past Pyefleet Creek, Fingringhoe Bird Reserve and towards Wivenhoe. Experts from Swallow Birding (www.swallowbirding.co.uk) are on board to help spot and identify. The barge has central heating, and included is a late hot lunch.
Lunch Hearty Homemade Soup with Granary Bread, Homemade Chocolate Brownie with Forest Fruits and cream. The bar serves hot, soft and alcoholic drinks.
