In 2013 we formed our own company Blackwater Catering Ltd to supply locally sourced, high quality food to our barge customers. Our dishes are all homemade, either in the barge’s galley or started in our shoreside kitchen and finished on board by our team. Our onboard galley team excel in providing a friendly yet professional service, many of them have been involved with Topsail for several years, and you’ll find them enthusiastic sources of information about the barge and the food.
Lorna has been sailing on the Topsail fleet since she was 3 years old, as she is the daughter of Topsail owners Paul and Steph. She first started working onboard as part of the galley team aged 15, working her way up to hostess onboard Thistle and Hydrogen, before heading to Australia for a year. Lorna has been running the barge tearooms since October 2013 and now puts her excellent organisational and people skills to good use for our summer seasons.
