The Barge Tearooms

Come aboard Maldon’s historic sailing barge Hydrogen for a unique tearoom experience.

NOW OPEN to Easter, Thursday – Sunday 10am-5pm

Moored on Maldon’s picturesque Hythe Quay, step onboard our beautiful Edwardian sailing barge for a memorable tearoom experience and help support part of our nation’s maritime heritage.

You can enjoy breakfast, light lunches and afternoon tea, with fresh ingredients supplied from the High Street including Buntings Butchers, Greens and Crusty Loaf. Our delicious cakes, scones, mini quiches and soups are all cooked on board daily in the galley.

All our produce is homemade fresh on board the barge and we pride ourselves in using local Maldon High Street suppliers; Buntings, Green’s of Maldon & the Crusty Loaf.
